ATTENTION 2015 HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES
WE ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE OUR $2,000 SCHOLARSHIP AWARD ESSAY CONTEST
A $2,000 scholarship award is given to one graduate of each Staten Island public high school and one District 31 special education student. Any student in the January, June or August 2015 grduating class amy apply. The scholarship award application can be obtained from uour Guidance Counselor in room 307 or at www.sifpta.org
The Criteria is
- Written essay based on this year's essay question
- Completed student information sheet
- Essay recipient must be present toa ccept the award on June 1, 2015 at the scholarship Luncheon held at The Hilton Garden Inn
The essay, which is to be written by the student, is to be no more than 500 words (2 pages) and typed in a 14-pt plain font with double spacing, Be advised that the student's name MUST NOT appear ANYWHERE on the essay.

What does "giving back" mean to you? Please include an example(s) of how you have given back to your community, school or family, or how someone else's giving back has influenced you.
DEADLINE
Please return the completed Student Information Sheet and Essay to Ms. Pecora in room 307 by March 6, 2015.
