World of Women Staten Island Scholarship
WOWSI is a not-for-profit Staten Island community service organization founded in 1995 and dedicated to providing assistance to women and children in need of services in our community.

WOW's program include family assistance, community service, advocacy through education, domestic violence prevention, teen pregnancy, prevention as well as a scholarship program to benefit high school studebnts entering college and women continuing their education.

WOW provides a yearly scholarship in the amount of $1000 to a female college bound high school senior.

This application is simple: fill out the application form plus a 250-300 word essay explaining what you feel is the most pressing issue facing women today and what you as an individual and society as a whole can do to improve it. This essay should include why you deserve this scholarship and any additional comments you think will assist the committee in making its selection. In addition, please assist by outlining your need for the scholarship.
