Scholarships

TELACU Scholarship Program
Each year, the TELACU Education Foundation awards hundreds of scholarships to students in California, Texas, Illinois and New York. To apply for a scholarship, download the application from our website and return it, with required attachments, to the office indicated on the application.

Minimum eligibility requirements:
- Must be a low income, first generation college student
- Must be a full-time student for the entire coming academic year
- Must attend one of our partnering colleges and universities
- For applicants in California: Be a permanent resident of unincorporated East Los Angeles, Bell Gardens, Commerce, Huntington Park, City of Los Angeles, Montebello, Monterey Park, Pico Rivera, Pomona & The Inland Empire, Santa Ana, South Gate or other communities selected by the LINC TELACU Education Foundation for inclusion in the Scholarship Program
- For applicants in Texas: Be a permanent resident of San Antonio or Austin
- For applicants in Illinois: Be a permanent resident of greater Chicagoland area
- For applicants in New York: Be a permanent resident of the state of New York
- Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5

Hispanic Scholarship Fund
 
 
Are you Hispanic? That might be all the critera you need to meet for some of these scholarships. The HSF offers a full listing of scholarships that are available through the fund, along with other outside companies that are very generous and want to help students succeed. Follow the link and check the list of deadlines and application requirements and start applying to ALL OF THEM if you meet the criteria!!

Gates Millenium Scholarship
The Gates Millennium Scholars (GMS) Program, funded by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, was established in 1999 to provide outstanding African American, American Indian/Alaska Native*, Asian Pacific Islander American**, and Hispanic American students with an opportunity to complete an undergraduate college education in any discipline area of interest. Continuing Gates Millennium Scholars may request funding for a graduate degree program in one of the following discipline areas: computer science, education, engineering, library science, mathematics, public health or science.

This is an INCREDIBLE scholarship that pays for all of undergraduate and graduate school for certain minority students with a minimum 3.3 GPA (87+ average).

The application deadline is January 15th. This is not a simple application but it has a gigantic payoff (literally!). So get started on it NOW if you fit into these categories!!
