NYU CALI is a
5-day residential program designed to demystify the college application
process. NYU CALI students will:
- Participate in a variety of college access workshops including essay writing, financial aid, and sitting for a timed SAT I Reasoning Test.
- Sit in on an NYU course.
- Serve as NYU CALI Ambassadors for other students in their high school and community.
- Receive a scholarship to cover all program costs.

Manhattan College & ACE Mentorship Program
Summer Porgram for Minority and Women High School Students in Engineering and Science
This program will include lectures and lab experiences related to concepts in science and the various engineering disciplines such as civil, mechanical, chemical, electrical, environmental, and computer engineering. Attention will be given to analyzing material properties and how they relate to design of structures. Applying to college and financial aid will be looked into. Career opportunities in engineering and related fields, such as law, education, and medicine will be discussed. Lab experiences in chemistry, bridge building, green buildings, computer aided design, robotics, and physics, as well as SAT prep, are being planned. There is no charge for the program to students.
High student interest in the above program has led to the creation of a second program which is similar in content and is called the WOman and Minority Engineering Summer Extension Program for HS Students.Students not accepted to the 10-day program will be considered for the six-day program if interested.
